How is Susan Lucci going to get nominated for Emmys now? ABC announced that long running daytime mainstays All My Children and One Life to Live will go off the air in September and January, respectively. Both soaps are being replaced by health-related talk shows. The twin cancellations will leave James Franco’s playground General Hospital as the network’s only remaining daytime drama. And just four soaps total will be on the air — General Hospital on ABC, Days of Our Lives on NBC, The Young & The Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS.
The network also announced the shows’ replacements, are a Mario Batali-hosted food show called “The Chew” will premiere in September, and a health/lifestyle transformation show called “The Revolution” featuring Project Runway’s Tim Gunn, trainer Harley Pasternak and Kimberly Locke, who completed in the second season of American Idol. Premiering in January these hosts and a revolving pool of contributors will “help viewers transform all areas of their lives, from relationships to family, food, style, home design, finance and more,” according to ABC’s announcement.  So are Soaps a dying breed now or will they get popular again in the future?

  I was afraid this was going to happen.  As I have mentioned many times before, Charlie Sheen‘s soon-to-be-ex-wife Brooke Mueller is a serious addict who has allegedly been in and out of rehab quite a few times in the last couple of years. Just a couple of months ago Brooke admitted to relapsing and was doing rehab to recover.  Caught in the middle of their parents addictions and unstable behavior are their 2-year-old twin boys, Bob and Max. They were removed from Chuck’s home in L.A’s upscale Mulholland Estates on March 1st in line with a court order obtained by Mueller, who has since being caring for the twins at an unknown address.  Brooke knows her sobriety is the only thing that can keep her kids from going back to Charlie but she seemingly can’t stop herself from falling off the wagon and it may have happened again.  Brooke allegedly only found out early Thursday that she’d have to report to a Los Angeles testing facility to provide a urine sample and she panicked. According to Radar sources, Mueller was frantically calling friends babbling about not wanting to lose her kids and begging for their pee.
A friend of Brooke’s told RadarOnline: “Brooke admitted to relapsing. She hasn’t been returning calls, which usually means she’s using. She’s absolutely freaked out that this potential dirty test could result in her losing custody of their twins (Bob and Max) to Charlie.”
I know Brooke has serious addictions but I just feel so angry at this woman for constantly letting her young children down.  She’s 33 years old, about to be wealthy and single again and she just can’t stop being a party girl.
