David Arquette tells Howard Stern he hit on Courteney Cox  

The fact that Courteney Cox has been seen with at least two other men since her split with David Arquette would show most guys it’s over. Not Dave. He’s just told Howard Stern he tried to hit on her during their trip to Disney World.

In March, Courteney, 46, returned from a vacation with ‘Cougar Town’ co-star Josh Hopkins, then visited Disney World with David and their 6-year old daughter.

And during his week-long internship on Howard’s show the 39-year old actor seemed almost eager to discuss what happened next;

“Listen, I tried to f— her, and she doesn’t even want me,” he told Stern. Then came this pearl of wisdom; “Oh, that’s probably something I shouldn’t have said.”

And this ham-fisted attempt at seduction began with the cheesiest come-on line you’ll hear this week;

“I said ‘This is the happiest place on Earth! Let’s make it happier!’” he admitted to Stern. “I mean, I love her. I love her with all my heart,” he then explained.

Stern then pressed for more info. “How far did you get? Just kiss?” he inquired.

“A bit,” Arquette answered. “It was like we were…eighth graders. Seventh graders.”

But despite the rejection David still firmly believes his wife and Josh Hopkins are no more than friends – thus disregarding acres of press that could crush this endearing delusion;

“We have a really honest relationship and that would have come up,” he insisted to Stern. “I knew that guy was going with her – it’s all open. She’s not sleeping with Hopkins. He’s a  friend of ours.”

And after insisting Courteney and Josh were not creasing the sheets David then went on to give her the green light to not do it some more;

“We’re married but we’re not together, so she can do whatever she wants.”

…America’s wondrous achievements in rocket science are clearly no poorer for this man’s exclusion.
