ADAM Lambert was shocked by the world’s reaction to his shaved head!

The For Your Entertainment singer recently shaved half his hair off and posted a picture on his Twitter page.

“I was just talking about it with my makeup artist, who helped me shave a tiny piece of my hairstyle — it’s just 3 inches up the side of head! And it’s not bald, just very short,” Lambert said.

“I didn’t think that was newsworthy! It caught me off guard and made me laugh that E! Online and MTV and People wanted to report on it. I’m flattered that they find it that important.

“I think [of it as] air conditioning. Some of these cities are really hot.”

Lambert says he’s looking forward to hitting the road for his Glam Nation Tour.

“I tried to give it an emotional through-line, from the dark and serious to the light and celebratory … but, of course, for me, ‘dark and serious’ also means lots of rhinestones,” he said. “There’s a sense of theatricality to it. It’s definitely glam.”

On the other hand, Bret Michaels' career is back on the rise like it hasn't been in almost twenty years. Not only does Bret Michaels star in his own successful reality show 'Rock Of Love', he also won the latest season of 'Celebrity Apprentice'. And now, Bret Michaels is being 'blessed in' by Paula Abdul into taking Simon Cowell's place on 'American Idol'.


"If he were to take that position I think he would be awesome at it because you've got to have a passion and love for music.It takes somebody who really, really understands young people to try to make the magic happen in those 30 seconds. Bret Michaels would fit the mold perfectly." Paula Abdul told Us magazine.


But then, in Paula Abdul fashion, she also offered the same positive recommendation to someone else:


"I think Simon's mom Julie would be brilliant, because who knows him better than she?" Abdul told Us.
"Honestly, the word replacement to me does not apply because, as we all know, they broke the mold after Simon. I don't think he could ever be replaced," she said. "There should be no comparison."

Second-place finisher 'Get Him to the Greek' was best of the new releases.

Even with four major new releases hitting theaters this weekend, box-office supremacy remained in the clutches of the mean green ogre known as Shrek. "Shrek Forever After," the franchise's fourth installment, topped the charts with a $25.3 million haul from Friday through Sunday, marking the film's third consecutive weekend victory.
Of the weekend's new releases, "Get Him to the Greek" performed the best. The raunchy comedy stars Jonah Hill as a young talent agent and Russell Brand as Aldous Snow, the troubled rock star first introduced in 2008's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." "Greek" managed a respectable $17.4 million haul, nearly half of its reported $40 million production budget.
Although "Greek" wasn't able to best "Shrek," it did manage to defeat "Killers," the spy-themed romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl as a married couple drawn into the deadly world of espionage. The film earned a third-place finish worth $16.1 million.
The weekend's other major new releases, "Marmaduke" and "Splice," stayed out of the top five altogether with sixth- and eighth-place finishes, respectively. It's a particularly disappointing finish for the Owen Wilson-starring "Marmaduke," as the family film was the widest new release of the weekend by a significant margin of over 300 theaters.
Rounding out fourth and fifth place were last weekend's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" and "Sex and the City 2."

Action is the name of the game next weekend as the Bradley Cooper-starring "The A-Team" and the remake of "The Karate Kid" enter the box-office arena.

Aziz Ansari said it best when he wrapped up last night's unsurprisingly awesome MTV Movie Awards: "What a surprise, 'Twilight' takes it all!" While the sparkly vampires had been tied in nominations with James Cameron's "Avatar," the best-selling franchise swept the show, scoring every award it was nominated for.

That's six out of 10, for those of you keeping track (yes, we're including Anna Kendrick's Best Breakout Performance awards as a win for the "Twilight" crowd, even though she was nominated for "Up in the Air.").



Kristen Stewart started the night off right by taking the Best Female Performance award, with a super cute Robert Pattinson clapping enthusiastically for her the whole time. She then proceeded to give an absolutely awkward (yet, very Kristen) speech, but at least she said it with a genuine smile!

"Thank you so much. This is awesome. Yeah. I guess 'Twilight' is really awesome and I agree, woo! I want to say hi to Chris [Weitz] because I haven't talked to him in a while," Kristen said as her acceptance speech. "How cool is this, Chris? I'm going to peace out, and thank you so much!"

Fortunately the next time she took the stage, that time alongside Rob for the Best Kiss award, her acceptance speech was much better. That's right, let out all your OME's, because Robsten actually kissed, live, on stage, in front of all of you (press play above to relive that moment!). That, my friends, is a first. Just one comment, though: did anyone else notice how they used the "True Blood" theme song "Bad Things" as background music for the kiss clip from "New Moon"? Let the vampire wars over licensing begin!

As for Anna, we were super happy to see her win the Best Breakout Star award, because this really was her year. She stole all her scenes in "New Moon" (all two of them!) and was our favorite part of "Up in the Air."

Since time was of the essence this Movie Awards show with the premiere of "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" following promptly at 11 p.m., Rob received his Best Male Performance and Global Superstar awards at the same time.

He, unlike his earlier costars, thanked more than just the fans for his award, giving a shout-out to "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke to which he said he owes very much now, as well as Chris Weitz, Stephenie Meyer and his family for conceiving him. But there's one person who he seemed to thank above all the rest: Kristen Stewart. She, of course, rolled her eyes at him for his final shout out.

Russell Brand had told MTV's Josh Horowitz last night that the thing that every awards show needs is a little bit of crisis. Well, last night's MTV Movie Awards had two: Peter Facinelli's f-bomb slipping past the censors after "New Moon" won Best Movie, and Mark Wahlberg interrupting Tom Felton's Best Villain acceptance speech.
While it wasn't quite up to Kanye proportions (he did threaten that he would "Taylor Swift your ass if I could get down there" as a joke), Mark was heckling Tom to hurry up his speech because he and "The Other Guys" co-star Will Ferrell were dangling from the ceiling as part of a skit.

It was all meant to be funny, except Tom was sweetly trying to thank his girlfriend Jade Olivia and his mom. His mom! Finally, after Mark interrupted him twice, Tom begged him to just let him finish his speech because "hey man, I might never be here again, I've got to take this opportunity." Have we mentioned how much we love him?
Fortunately, the two are totally cool with one another, as we managed to catch a sweet moment between them backstage (press play above!). Check out post-award interaction and the future collaborative works Tom promises the two of them have. Hint: future costars.

“Janine feels Jesse was left scarred towards women after his mom abandoned him when he was 7-years old,” the snitch continues. “She says Jesse is a control freak who reacts badly when he can’t get his own way.”

But the ultimate focus of Janine’s apparently expert psycho-analysis is Jesse’s marriage.

“Janine says he believes Sandra will take him back in time, and that they just have to stay apart for a while for the sake of her image,” we are told. “His ego is so big, he can’t accept he brought about his own downfall and nobody else.”

In other news, Janine is now scheduled to do battle with Jesse in court in a bid to regain possession of her five-year old daughter, Sunny. An Oregon Judge gave Jesse sole guardianship in October last year because Janine was in jail for failing to pay over $200,000 in federal taxes.

“Good cause exists for the court to conduct a review to determine if Sunny will be safe with Janine,” Jesse told the court at the time. ”She should be restrained from allowing Sunny around pornographers, drug addicts, guns, felons and other unsafe environments.”

Janine is a former porn actress who now directs adult movies, and her new husband’s a convicted felon.

With her jail sentence, plus six-months in an Oregon half-way house now complete, Janine is due for release later today. And where the case goes from here after this self-serving tirade we can only surmise…

midst a swirl of reports that Mariah Carey is pregnant, the singer's husband, Nick Cannon, took to Twitter on Wednesday night and said any "private" news would come from Carey herself.

"If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally," Cannon tweeted. "Thanks for being respectful GodBless."

"My heart goes out to any woman who has to deal with public scrutiny and speculation pertaining to their private life REAL TALK!" Cannon added.

Carey, who has dodged pregnancy rumors since she and Cannon married in 2008, fueled another round of speculation this month when she pulled out of her role in Tyler Perry's next film, "Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf." On Wednesday, Radar Online quoted an unnamed source who confirmed that Carey is pregnant. "They're both very excited and very happy," said the source. "Mariah and Nick want to keep the pregnancy quiet as long as they can."

Carey's publicist, Cindi Berger, told Radar, "I'm not at liberty to discuss Mariah's personal life at this time."

Though Cannon declined to speak directly on Carey's pregnancy, he recently addressed another recent tabloid rumor about him and his wife to Billboard.com - the report that they'd be joining Simon Cowell next year as judges on the U.S. version of "The X Factor."

"I keep hearing that rumor!" Cannon told Billboard.com. "Simon Cowell is definitely a close friend of our family, but we haven't received any offers in the mail yet."

"If my wife and I worked together it would definitely have to be something really special," he added. "Simon Cowell is the right dude to be in business with -- and I mean, he's my boss on 'America's Got Talent' right now, so I'm probably not going to turn him down."

Kevin Costner and his wife have welcomed their third child, a girl, into the world.

Costner's 36-year-old wife, Christine, gave birth to Grace Avery Costner on Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles.

The actor's publicist Arnold Robinson says mother and daughter are doing well.

The couple have two other children, 1-year-old Hayes and 3-year-old Cayden. The 55-year-old actor has four other children from previous relationships.

Tiger Woods is the defending champion at Memorial and a four-time winner at Muirfield Village.

It just doesn’t seem that way.

He arrived at the course that Jack Nicklaus built — the one that Woods at times seems to own — with his game as unpredictable as ever. Woods is coming off a neck injury that he said now feels good enough to practice and play. He no longer has a swing coach, having split with Hank Haney three weeks ago, and has no plans to find another one anytime soon.

Since returning to golf in April, he has completed only one tournament, a tie for fourth at the Masters. That takes on even greater significance with the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach only two weeks away.

"Maybe this time I’ll get four rounds in and get ready for the Open," Woods said Wednesday.

He remains as capable as ever, and Woods wasted no time showing that in the Memorial Skins Game. Playing in the second group of five players, he hit a towering shot out of the right rough behind a tree on the 10th hole to about 18 feet and rolled in the quick putt for a birdie to win a skin. Charlie Sheen is going from Two and a Half Men to two-and-a-half weeks…behind bars.

E! News has confirmed that the sitcom star will plead no contest to misdemeanor assault stemming from his Christmas Day arrest for attacking long estranged and newly over it wife Brooke Mueller.

Although Chief Deputy District Attorney Arnold Mordkin declined to comment on specifics, the plea would likely result in a 30-day jail sentence.

So where does the two-and-a-half weeks come in?

Well, being the highest-paid sitcom star on TV does have its perks, and a cunning defense lawyer is apparently one of them.

Sheen is unlikely to make waves while in Aspen lockup and his good behavior will bring his sentence down significantly, meanwing he'd only serve about half the time.

Sheen's attorney, Richard Cummins, has not returned calls seeking comment on Sheen's dealings.

The 44-year-old shaven wonder is planning to enter the plea at his hearing on Monday in Aspen on Monday. Before then, he'll need to finish up his court-ordered 36 hours of anger management classes.

Sheen originally faced two misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and third-degree assault as well as felony menacing. The felony count, which carries a maximum three-year sentence, will now disappear.

Another bonus? Since Two and a Half Men is on hiatus, his jail time won't affect its production schedule. Finally, everything's coming up roses for Chuck Sheen.

Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, have weathered many storms together -- but now it's time to spend time apart, says Montag.

"I needed some alone time," Montag, 23, tells PEOPLE exclusively, confirming reports that she has moved out of the Pacific Palisades, California, home she shared with Pratt. "There are so many lies out there about me and I just needed space -- even away from my husband."

But the reality star says there was no single straw that broke the camel's back and caused her to leave.

"I had to get away from the lies my family and supposed friends are saying about me," says Montag. "It's time to concentrate on myself."

Montag plans to spend the summer clearing her head and getting in some much need girl time with pal and new roommate Jen Bunney, which will be captured on film as they will be shooting their own reality show. Montag is also working on writing a movie script.

As for the future of Speidi, it's a work in progress. "I've always loved Spencer," says Montag, "but right now we're working on things."

Former pop star BELINDA CARLISLE knew it was time to seek help for substance abuse when she envisioned her own death after a three-day drug binge.

The singer, who rose to fame as the frontwoman of The Go-Go's, admits her life spiralled out of control early on in her career and she continued to indulge in drink and drugs up until one horrifying incident in 2005, when she realised it was time to kick her habit once and for all.

Recalling the nightmare in her new memoir, Lips Unsealed, she writes, "I had gone to London for business, but spent three straight days locked in my hotel room, doing cocaine.

"I went on the biggest binge of my life, which is saying something considering I had used, boozed, and abused for 30 years.

"When I looked at my eyes in the mirror, I didn't see anyone looking back at me. The lights were out. I was gone. It scared me - yet I didn't stop until I had an extraordinarily frightening out-of-body experience, where I saw myself overdosing and being found dead in the hotel room.

"I saw the whole thing happen, and I knew that if I kept doing coke, I was going to die. At that moment I shut my eyes, and when I opened them again I made the decision I had put off for much too long. I opened myself up to life. I appreciated the good, faced the bad, and began to find the things I needed."

Elizabeth Taylor has made public for the first time her love letters from Richard Burton, giving new insight into a passionate, playful but turbulent romance that spanned 20 years and two marriages.

But Taylor is keeping one letter private, according to Vanity Fair magazine in an article in its July edition.

It was written by Burton just days before his death in Switzerland in 1984 of a brain hemorrhage and reached the actress in California after she returned from his memorial service.

Burton wanted to come home to her, Vanity Fair said, after Taylor read the letter she keeps in her bedside drawer to the magazine's contributing editor Sam Kashner and to Nancy Schoenberger.

Taylor, 78, decided to share the bulk of the letters with Kashner and Schoenberger for their book "Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and the Marriage of the Century".

Burton playfully calls Taylor "Twit Twaddle", addresses her as "My Lumps" and sometimes signed his letters "Husbs".

"If you leave me, I shall have to kill myself. There is no life without you," he wrote in one early letter.

"Richard was magnificent in every sense of the word," Taylor, the eight-times married actress, told Kashner and Schoenberger.

"And in everything he ever did ... He was the kindest, funniest, and most gentle father. All my kids worshiped him. Attentive, loving - that was Richard - from those first moments in Rome we were always madly and powerfully in love. We had more time but not enough," she said.

Taylor and Burton started a torrid affair in 1962 on the Rome set of the movie Cleopatra that shocked the media and was denounced by the Vatican as both were still married to other partners.

Their first marriage lasted from 1964-74 and they wed again in October 1975 before breaking up in July 1976.

"You are probably the best actress in the world, which, combined with your extraordinary beauty, makes you unique," Burton wrote in one of the newly-released letters.

"The fundamental and most vicious, swinish, murderous, and unchangeable fact is that we totally misunderstand each other...we operate on alien wave­lengths. You are as distant as Venus - planet, I mean - and I am tone-deaf to the music of the spheres," he wrote in another.

In other letters, the Welsh-born actor confesses that he believes acting, for a man, is "sissified and faintly ridiculous" and talks of how he wished he had chosen the life of a writer.
