Police say the wife of pro wrestler Ric Flair has been charged with assaulting him in their North Carolina home. In a statement, Flair called the incident an unfortunate disagreement and said he did nothing wrong.
Authorities say officers were called to Flair's home in south Charlotte on Sunday night. Flair said his wife attacked him after they went out for dinner. He had minor injuries, but refused treatment from paramedics.
Police charged 41-year-old Jacqueline Beems with simple assault. She was released from jail a few hours after her arrest. The 60-year-old platinum blond grappler nicknamed "The Nature Boy" is currently wrestling for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling after a long career with World Wrestling Entertainment.

JOHNNY Depp still can’t believe his career has been such a success.
“The whole ride – my whole ride and experience on the ride – since day one has been pretty surreal in this business,” the Pirates of The Caribbean star old reporters while promoting the highly anticipated film Alice In Wonderland.
“It defies logic, why I’m still here. I’m still completely shocked that I still get jobs and still am around. But I guess more than anything it has been a kind of Wonderland. I’ve been very lucky.”
“I had no idea where anything was going, but you can’t,” he added. “It’s almost impossible to predict anything like that. I had no idea. I had hoped … I felt like after I’d done Cry-Baby with John Waters and Edward Scissorhands with Tim Burton that they were going to cut me off right then.

After a doomed first attempt that flamed out in November of 2005, Jude Law and Sienna Miller have reconnected – again.
Despite an engagement in 2004, that first connection collapsed when Jude had an affair with their nanny; Daisy Wright.
Since then, 28-year old Sienna has been linked to British actor Rhys Ifans, musician Jamie Burke, and of course Hayden Christensen. But in 2008 came her worst move of all – a long-term indulgence with uber-rich father-of-four, Balthazar Getty.

Robert Pattinson Supposedly Admits Dating Kristen Stewart
Robert Pattinson has supposedly admitted he has a romantic relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart for the first time. Rumors have long circulated that the young stars are lovers off-set as well as on-screen, which certainly doesn’t hurt box office sales. The next Twilight movie Eclipse, is out in July.
Despite arriving separately and sitting apart at the BAFTAs ceremony on Sunday night Pattinson later revealed all. According to the UK Sun, R Pattz confessed that they have been pretending not to be a couple because of the fans’ reactions towards rumors surrounding them.
“It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes,” Pattinson confessed. “We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy.” The “Remember Me” further revealed that the ceremony “was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible.” He added, “We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”
They even went to a 2010 BAFTA after-party separately, but Pattinson and Stewart were snapped sneaking out of the party together. In the picture, they sat together in the back of a car as they left the Grosvenor Hotel in London, England, where the Grey Goose-sponsored BAFTA after-party was held. ‘I read the Lewis Carroll stories over and over again, and I learned everything I could about Victorian times,’ Depp says.‘It would have been too easy, and not very believable, to have played the Mad Hatter as just a straightforward crazy guy.‘But I knew Tim would be wanting more than that – there had to be a reason why he was like that, because something had tipped him over the edge.’Depp’s research revealed that the term ‘mad as a hatter’ came from a truth – that hatters in Victorian times suffered from mercury poisoning, a side-effect of the hat- manufacturing process which would affect the mind. In the 18th and 19th centuries, mercury was used in the manufacture of felt. With a relatively strong performance both in and by his more recent films, Ben Affleck is now in line to act in and direct a retelling of one of the biggest scandals the New York Yankees has ever endured. And Matt Damon is looking to get on board too.
Back in 1973, Yankees team-mates Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich stunned the team’s vast army of fans when they calmly disclosed during Spring Training they were sharing their wives. This new movie, ‘The Trade’ will retell that story.
Both Ben and fellow Oscar winner, Matt are die-hard Red Sox fans and thus hate the Yankees, but they’ve been drawn to this project for ages. Ben now wants to direct and maybe play Fritz, while Matt would be Kekich.
And apart from the lure of the dug-out the appeal for both stars is the screenwriter – Dave Mandel. Best known for his scalpel-sharp writing on ‘Seinfeld’ and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ Dave has been waiting to start writing for years, but getting the rights to the story was tricky so he’s only just finished a draft. Ben and Matt read it…and were hooked.
Ben’s good friend from 1993’s ‘Dazed and Confused.’ Richard Linklater was keen to direct, but Deadline says Ben now wants to drive the movie and act. His first time as Director – ‘Gone Baby Gone,’ was liked by the critics and his second, ‘The Town’ [which he co-wrote and directed] was also a modest success. So this might actually work.
And consider this – the last time Ben and Matt got involved in writing and acting together the result was 1997’s ‘Good Will Hunting.’ And that won two Oscars and sixteen other awards.

I have always said Scottish actor Gerard Butler seems to be a man happy to play the field. He has been recently romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston for a while and a recent trip to Mexico with the Friends star for her 41st birthday seemed to confirm they were an item. Which could be true I suppose, but Gerard seems to have several coals in the fire.
Gerard yesterday was seen hanging out with sexy Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger (photos here) on a beach in Rio, where they are both currently celebrating the annual Carnival. He certainly didn’t seem to want the publicity. As soon as the 300 actor spotted photographers descending in on them as they were taking a stroll on Copacabana beach, he marched on ahead of Nicole, trying to pretend they weren’t together.
Oh and on the Gerard and Jen supposed romance, OK! Magazine, claims Aniston flew the film crew down with her to capture the pictures of them together. Just weeks before the release of their new film The Bounty Hunter, Jen wanted to capitalize on rumors of a fling with Butler and made sure every bikini shot was showing off her best angle, the magazine reported.
On the 84th day, Tiger Woods finally spoke. He let the world know that he is sorry for what happened, that he will continue to get help for his addiction and that he will not be playing golf anytime soon.
Tiger gave us what appeared to be a previously outlined statement from his PR team, finishing with a plea for people to "believe in me again." His first message was that of sorrow, but the 14-minute statement turned heated when Tiger spoke of rumors that his wife Elin had chased and/or hit him with a golf club:
"There is one issue I really want to discuss. Some people have speculated that Elin somehow hurt or attacked me on Thanksgiving night. It angers me that people would fabricate a story like that. Elin never hit me that night or any other night. There has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage. Ever."
Tiger's mom, Tim Finchem and fellow PGA Tour player and former Stanford teammate Notah Begay III were in attendance, but Elin was not. That didn't stop Tiger from speaking about her most of the time.
Tiger admitted that he is the only one to blame, admitting, "I was unfaithful." He also apologized to his family, friends and fans, and said he thought he played by different rules because of money and fame, but agrees that those "actions were wrong."
Tiger admitted "he has a long way to go," but he is taking steps in the right direction, and said that no matter what people want to know about his marriage, it is going to stay within the family. "Please leave my wife and kids alone," Tiger stated.
As for golf, Tiger said that he will return to golf one day, he just doesn't know when that day will be. He also didn't rule out returning in 2010, but no date was promised.
All in all it was the statement we expected -- preempted, selective and, in typical Tiger fashion, guarded. Nobody will ever know if Tiger has changed, but it sure sounds like he meant it.

Lady Gaga is known for odd behavior and some very odd outfits, but success may slowly be mellowing the prismatic star.
The 23-year old singer was recently spied in New York with former boyfriend, Matthew Williams, and a baby whom insiders believe was Matt’s son. And they looked really cozy.
“Matthew and Gaga have been dating for months,” a source tells In Touch. “They were together on and off for more than a year, but called it off when mixing work and love became too difficult.”
That ‘mixing’ was formed by the fact that Matthew is one of the main movers and shakers in the ‘Haus of Gaga,’ the design divas who create most of Lady G’s flamboyant, press-friendly outfits.
The two last broke up some months ago and Matt – whom Lady G always calls ‘Dada’ – got involved with a new lady, and from that came his son.
Meanwhile, Lady G was dating an entrepreneur known only as ‘Speedy.’ But he dumped her. Matt then left his girlfriend to be with Gaga and the two were back on.
“They spend all their time together, and travel everywhere, so it was bound to happen,” says the snitch.

Having the very recognizable face of an action star is a mixed blessing for Bruce Willis at times. The Hollywood star once worked as a bartender before finding fame and knows how people change when they have a little too much to drink. In an interview with Men’s Journal magazine he explains: “It took me a long time to understand that a lot of guys wanted to be the guy who kicked John McClane’s a*s. And it’s really difficult to explain to someone who has been over-served, ‘No, I’m not that guy.’ ”
On the other-hand he is happy to play up to his tough guy persona when it comes to who his daughters – Rumer, 21, Scout, 18, and Tallulah Belle, 16 – go out with.

Young actor Shia LaBeouf, 23, is really shaping up these days. His career is in full bloom, he has a girl friend who is a pretty impressive young actress in her own right and he apparently is ready to run a marathon. The ‘Transformers’ actor will undertake the grueling 26.2 mile Los Angeles Marathon race on March 21 as he aims to raise money for America’s largest non-profit organization US VETS.
The charity – which provides services to war veterans of all ages returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, is close to the star’s heart as his father Jeffrey fought in Vietnam and his paternal grandfather was a Green Beret.
“We are delighted and grateful to have Mr. LaBeouf participate in the marathon on our behalf,” said U.S.VETS President and CEO Dwight Radcliff. “Shia’s father is a Vietnam veteran and running the marathon is a significant way to honor his father’s service and the military service of others.”
LaBeouf is in a relationship with British actress Carey Mulligan, his co-star in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. Mulligan and LaBeouf were introduced by director Oliver Stone prior to filming and began dating shortly after. Michael Douglas who recently confirmed the two were dating, also claimed that he tried stopping them but his efforts were in-vain. “I warned them ‘Do not ever do that!’ But they are an item and they are having a great time,” he said.

Insiders close to the hugely popular show say ex-supermodels Heidi, 36, and Paula, 44, have just signed for guest-starring roles in at least one episode due to air in mid-March.
The plot will revolve around Gaby [Eva Longoria Parker,] and Angie [Drea de Matteo] who encounter the ‘Project Runway’ hostess and former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge while on the prowl in Manhattan.
But while the meeting is set for the heart of New York, E says the whole thing will actually be shot in Los Angeles – it’s cheaper that way.
And Heidi and Paulina are just the latest links in a strong cast of guests – Before them we saw Alfre Woodard, ‘Buffy’ star, Nathan Fillion, then ‘Band of Brothers’ Neal McDonough and Dougray Scott from ‘Mission Impossible II,’ and of course ‘Mad Men’s snow-capped John Slattery.

The sad and utterly unfair decline of the great Dennis Hopper has been made worse by intense legal action, and most people blame Victoria Duffy, his now estranged wife.
In newly-filed papers, Dennis, 73, tells L.A’s Superior Court he’s still perfectly capable of making decisions, while his Doctors say one way to prolong his life is to get Victoria out of it – Now.
“The presence of his estranged wife is hampering Mr. Hopper’s care,” Dennis’ chief specialist, Dr. David Agus says in the papers. “It is my belief that the less Mr. Hopper has to do with his wife, the more likely he is to have that life extended.”
His lawyer, Joe Mannis also explains to the court that, even while Dennis is enduring treatment for advanced prostate cancer, Victoria has “repeatedly subjected him to severe emotional distress.”
One example of this came last December when Victoria took their 6-year old daughter, Galen, out of school and flew her to Boston – where they hid for six days.
“This malevolent act has caused me to miss what may be my last Christmas with my daughter,” Dennis says in the filing.
The documents also reveal that both his wife and her mother woke Dennis up one night around Christmas, then grilled him about how much money and property Vicky would get when he died.
“Victoria’s mother told me I should simply leave the bulk of my property to Victoria, as I was going to die soon,” Dennis says in the filing. “I found this statement distressing, bizarre and disturbing.”
Dennis filed for divorce last month, and under their prenup Vicky loses her 25% cut of his estate when that becomes final. But don’t waste any tears – she’s already picked her next host.
The 42-year old socialite is now close to Democratic strategist James Boyce, who writes for the Huffington Post, and is also a CNN analyst on DC events. The pair have worked on Democratic causes together, and even attended President Obama’s inauguration — Using tickets that were meant for her husband.

As we reported the other day, Rachel Uchitel has scored a new job as a correspondent for Extra, reporting on nightlife “hot spots,” which she does have a great deal of expertise on. Producers apparently liked how she interviewed and of course she is alleged mistress number one, who allegedly danced the horizontal mambo in secret with Tiger Woods, until his wife found out with some help from the National Enquirer.
The unlikely couple’s conversation centered around the departure of “Bachelor” contestant Ali Fedotowsky, who left the show this week.
As she and Pavelka danced, Uchitel didn’t tiptoe around asking the question on everyone’s mind: “When Ali went home, was she going to be one of the girls you kept?”
“Yes,” Pavelka answered. “Ali was going to get a rose that night.”
Fedotowsky left the reality mating game on Monday, explaining that her job was at stake.
If she stayed to get a red rose, her employer would give her a pink slip.
Pavelka said he was “heartbroken” to see the 25-year-old accounts manager go.
Well done on Extra’s part to start Uchitel in a role she is quite comfortable with, where she flirts a little while extracting the information she needs from some guy. Supposedly she has already received at least $1 million from Tiger Woods’ camp to secure her silence. That was after she supposedly had a torrid affair with Bones star David Boreanaz, while his wife was pregnant. With a resume like that, no need for a casting couch!
I don’t know what to make of this, but it’s not the usual Hollywood formula of striking while the iron is hot, or for that matter when it’s even luke warm. Instead of jumping in to film the sequel to Avatar, James Cameron is beginning work on a prequel, but not as a movie.
The film’s producer, Jon Landau, toldMTV News studios recently, “Jim is going to write a novel himself. Not a novelization — and there is a distinction. A novelization basically retells the story of the movie. Jim wants to write a novel that is a big, epic story that fills in a lot of things.”
The idea is to drill deeper into the character’s backgrounds, and build the foundation and lore for future movies:
“It would be something that would lead up to telling the story of the movie, but it would go into much more depth about all the stories that we didn’t have time to deal with — like the schoolhouse and Sigourney [Weaver's character] teaching at the schoolhouse; Jake on Earth and his backstory and how he came here; [the death of] Tommy, Jake’s brother; and Colonel Quaritch, how he ended up there and all that,” Landau explained.
Landau goes on to further speculate that the novel could open up their sci-fi universe to other authors for interpretation and fill in the blanks so to speak as a lead in to the sequel that might take place on Pandora several years after where Avatar left off.
As for when “Avatar” fans can look forward to reading Cameron’s novel, Landau had some encouraging news: “I’m hoping by the end of this year.”
This will come as no surprise to many. Paris Hilton who was robbed of well over $1 million worth of possessions by the ‘Bling Ring Gang,’ the first time around, was targeted first because the group of teenagers thought she would be an easy mark. Apparently they were totally right as Hilton left the key to her home under her doormat, and failed to notice she had been robbed for two months. She might not ever have figured it out, but the Bling gang got greedy anf made a return visit, making off with over $1.5 million worth of jewellery and valuables in the second raid, which caught Hitlon’s attention.
The ‘Bling Ring Gang’ – made up of five teenagers and a man in his 20s – also stole from the homes of actor Orlando Bloom, actress Rachel Bilson and reality TV star Audrina Partridge; but were caught last November when CCTV footage of a break-in at Lindsay Lohan’s house was released. Nick Prugo, who has since been arrested for his involvement in robbing celebrities – said Paris had been their first target because they felt she was “dumb”.
He said: “Like, who would leave a door unlocked? Who would leave a lot of money lying around? Stupid.”
He also claimed to have found five grams of cocaine inParis’ house which he had also taken. Oops!
He faces up to six years in prison for each burglary. The alleged ringleader of the group, Rachel Lee, 18, has also been arrested, as havegang members Courtney Ames, 18; Alexis Neiers, 18, Diana Tamayo, 19, and Roy Lopez Jr, 27.
Tiger Woods is supposedly nearing the end of his program at Gentle Path in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. And according to RadarOnline, wife Elin Nordegrenhas flown to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to bring Tiger home at the end of this week. Supposedly Elin has called off the divorce – for now – and is giving Tiger a second chance, and they plan to go away together, alone, for a few days when the golf star emerges from rehab. Assuming this is true, it still sounds like it’s going to be a long road for these two to reconcile.
The Melbourne (Australia) Herald Sun, reported citing “strengthening whispers” that Tiger Woods might return to tournament golf at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson on Feb. 17-21. We kind of doubt it will be that soon. We think Tiger will come clean preferably with Elin at his side to tell the world he is sorry in some special interview venue with someone like Oprah Winfrey, before he dares go back on the tour, as part of a calculated PR comeback strategy.
Hayden Panettiere debuted her new boyfriend, Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko, attending a musical gala together in Hamburg, Germany, over the weekend. In fairness to Darlene, it must be pretty difficult to watch the beautiful daughter you gave birth to, self mutilate herself because she isn’t satisfied with how she looks even after previous cosmetic surgeries. Well compared to the $1,000,000 of her own money Heidi spent to record and promote her debut album, Superficial, which to date has only sold 2,000 copies, I guess you could consider the money spent on the plastic surgery a bargain, with all the publicity Heidi has gotten from it. Still watching her spend all that money seeking more fame and trying to transform herself into some kind of beautiful franken-Heidi is just so very sad and desperate.
ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, has always had an eclectic cast of celebrity competitors. While I think some of the signings for the show are last minute to do some filling in, there are always a few headlines that are sought to create a buzz. This year is no exception and RadarOnline has learned that former Bay Watch star Pam Anderson has signed to be on the next season.
A source says that Pamela and the producers have already agreed on all terms and it’s a done deal. “Pam is thrilled and so is the show. She really wanted to do the show and the show thought it was a great idea.” Pamela should really help class things up a bit. We know Pamela can dance some, but in this venue stripping poles are pretty much discouraged. Actually it will be interesting to see how long Pamela’s fan base will be able to keep her around if she turns out not be so light on her feet. Redmond O’Neal, the troubled son of Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett is getting yet another chance in his battle with substance abuse. Tuesday, Judge Michael Tynan said he could return to an in-patient residential treatment facility near L.A. after spending a month in jail for violating the program’s rules. When he got busted in January, he had supposedly been clear of drugs for almost six months, but found trouble again while free on a 24-hour pass from his existing rehab.
The judge this time said O’Neal will get only supervised release passes going forward. Redmond claims he has finally committed to turning his life around following a checkered history of jail and drugs, and has released a handwritten note to RadarOnline in which he vows to leave his old life, and habits behind him.
In the note Redmond writes, “My plan is to go back with a new attitude and leave my old ideas behind. I am committed to doing this thing.”
I really hope so this time, but he is an addict who just keep finding ways of letting himself and everyone else down.
Mackenzie Phillips is revised her alleged incestuous relationship with her late father, The Mamas & The Papas singer John Phillips. In her 2009 autobiography High on Arrival, Phillips claimed that she had a sexual relationship with her father, starting at age 19. Phillips said the incestuous relationship went on for ten years, and that she ended it when she became pregnant and did not know who had fathered the child. She stated that her father paid for her to have an abortion, “and I never let him touch me again. In an appearance on HLN’s “Joy Behar Show” Tuesday night, the former child star, who has since been disowned by her family, wants the public to know the affair was not consensual:
“I’d like to reframe my word consensual,” Mackenzie — joined by Celebrity Rehab’s Dr. Drew — explained in an interview on The Joy Behar Show this week. “As I was writing the book, I thought, this word, it kept sitting wrong with me. But I used it for lack of a better word. Since then, I’ve been schooled by thousands of incest survivors all across the world that there really is no such thing as consensual incest due to the inherent power a parent has over a child. So, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a consensual relationship at this time.”
Phillips appeared with Dr. Drew, her doctor from the VH1 show, “Celebrity Rehab,” who agreed that incest cannot be consensual.
“The child is trying to make sense of this situation she feels as though the only she can survive it is by saying, ‘I’m creating it, I have some power in this, I’m consenting to it,’” Dr. Drew said. “When the fact is, the kind of relationship a parent has with a child makes consent actually impossible.”

But his ploys to keep Diane at his side and thereby build his career come unstuck when one of the hospital’s orderlies, [The Shield's Michael Peña] sees his tricks and begins a campaign of selfish extortion.
At the same time, another colleague ['Dexter's Courtney Ford] takes a liking to Martin and makes him her prey.
And this is not even Orlando’s first brush with the indies – he took the lead as a paralyzed DJ in “Sympathy for Delicious,” which has just bowed at Sundance, and also played the mute son of a Yorkshire coal-miner in London’s ‘West End’ production of ‘In Celebration.’Almost three hours on stage and not one word to speak – now that’s a challenge.
ABC reports that production on ‘The Good Doctor’ has just started this week in LA, and Orlando must also fly to Berlin to promote it at the European Film Market festival, which opens next week.
All this indie work suggests Mr. Bloom might have refused a fourth Pirate cruise because he has plans to be the new Johnny Depp, and thereby extend his career – and maybe steal JD’s fans?
