Lindsay Lohan’s Alleged Battery Victim Won’t Press Charges or Cooperate With Police  

  In a very abrupt about face, the ex-Betty Ford staffer Dawn Holland, who claims Lindsay Lohan assaulted her last week will not only drop her criminal complaint, she’ll refuse to cooperate with authorities in their investigation. Holland’s lawyer, Keith Davidson, tells TMZ, “Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution.” Davidson says, “A crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan.”
You know it’s one thing to clam-up because of threats or inducements, but how the heck does a lawyer make such a proclamation when their client has already provided a written statement to the contrary that puts them in a position to be perjuring themselves? I don’t get it, because I thought at the least Holland would bring a civil suit against Lohan. What’s your theory, was Holland lying in the first place or did someone or something convince her to backoff?
